unsere Ausflugsziele Tipps

Hochzeiger

Mmmmhm - how it smells! But not only its scent, but also its beneficial effect on us humans is undisputed. Reason enough to dedicate an entire mountain to the stone pine. At the Hochzeiger everything revolves around the "Queen of the Alps": In the "Zirbenpark" there is a lot to discover, especially for families. For example the 12-meter-high stone pine tower with a 16-meter tube slide, a stone pine ball climbing tree and a stone pine ball track. At the stone pine water at the middle station, you can "splash" to your heart's content. Not to forget: the relaxed descent with the unique ZirbenCarts ... The valley station is approx. 7 minutes by car from your apartment in Pitztal Living.

Innsbruck

If you want to sniff a bit of city air with so much nature during your Austrian vacation, you should pay Innsbruck a visit. Tyrol's capital is around 68 kilometers from Pitztal Living in Jerzen. Here you can stroll on Marien-Theresien-Straße, through the small boutiques and shops in the old town or admire the “Golden Roof” and the Hofburg. If you want to enjoy a very special view of the Nordkette, it is best to do so from Innsbruck's modern landmark: the ski jump on Bergisel. The famous Swarowski Crystal Worlds are another 20 kilometers from Innsbruck. This magical place is one of Tyrol's most popular excursion destinations and has delighted more than 15 million visitors since it opened in 1995.

Pitztal Glacier

The trip to the Pitztal Glacier is a real experience in itself - just because of the breathtaking views it offers. The whole thing is still topped! While drinking coffee or having breakfast in “Austria's highest coffee house” at 3,440 meters. In Café 3.440 you can sip what is probably the “highest latte macchiato” of your life while gazing over the peaks. Including Tyrol's highest peak, the Wildspitze.

Rifflsee Floßfahrt

We have another superlative for you: How about “Europe's highest raft trip” on the Rifflsee? This, in turn, is at 2,232 meters above sea level and is the largest mountain lake in the Ötztal Alps. You can reach the mountain lake from the mountain station of the Riffelseebahn in just five minutes on foot (the valley station in Mandarfen in the rear Pitztal is about 30 minutes by car from your apartment). The raft is powered by an electric motor. A sustainable holiday experience - in every way!

Your summer holiday in Tyrol

Hiking holidays

With its 380 kilometers of hiking trails in the entire Pitztal, you will certainly not get bored. Discover themed trails, summit destinations and clear mountain lakes. The unique landscape of the valley leaves unforgettable moments and moments for eternity. With the Pitztal Summer Card or the Pitztal Leisure Pass, you can also enjoy free summer programs and a wide range of additional services during your vacation.

Zirbencart Downhill

You get pure action and a certain adrenaline rush at the Zirbencart Downhill (downhill race with special vehicles). From 2,370 meters you race down the Hochzeiger on a track with about four kilometers. Thanks to the gondola lift and double chairlift, the start is accessible easy and convenient for everyone.

Biking holidays in Tyrol

If your calves are itching again ... 95 km of bike tours are waiting to be experienced. The Pitztal delivers the entire range of adventure games. The "Pitztal Bike Route" is the ideal starting point for all tours. Conveniently, the main path from Imst meanders 42 km through the valley up to 1400 meters above sea level to the Mittelberg. If you run out of juice, there is also a hiking bus waiting to take the two-wheeler with you if necessary.

Trailrunning

In 2016, the Pitztal was awarded with the trail running award. Only your strength will be lost on the well-marked trails, but not your orientation. Past mountain lakes, streams and waterfalls, even under the most difficult conditions, there is still time to enjoy the unique panorama while walking over mountain peaks and ridges. Away from the forest paths, beginners will also find a suitable tour.

Water sports

Relax, switch off and just stretch your legs - that's best in the water worlds with a bathing lake in Stillebach. The bathing pond and the Kneipp facility with hand, foot and treading basins ensure good circulation even on hot summer days. The Pitzpark in Wenns offers different water depths for big and small, as well as a play raft and two diving towers. You should definitely dare to jump into the cool water in the surrounding natural bathing lakes such as the Piller landscape pond.
